ChaneyHalliburton Retaliate

Cheney/Halliburton Retaliate against Whistleblower: Bunnatine H. Greenhouse, the contracting official who followed the rules of her job and blew the whistle on the Army’s illegal contracting practices that dumped millions, perhaps billions of dollars worth of profits into the coffers of Halliburton, found herself fired in retaliation.

The Army, of course, denies that her demotion was a result of her objections to the illegal contractual arrangements that the Army was approving over her objections and her later testimony before senate hearings that were broadcast on C-SPAN.

Greenhouse, who had received stellar ratings throughout her twenty-year career, was given bad ratings recently after her senate testimony. Suddenly, she was deemed less than competent. Surely Tricky Dick Cheney, the former head of Halliburton and whose family and friends still own millions of dollars worth of stock in the company, had nothing to do with this? Oh, golly gee, say it ain’t so, Tricky Dick!
