This was another good idea gone awry. Now it occurs to me that I might be able to do something with this as a learning tool on my campus. Perhaps I could develop a course around it.

The weather is very bad today, and the forecast looks the same for most of the week. Many places are closed. Fortunately, I'm not scheduled to teach any classes today, so I'm not going to drive the 42 miles to campus just to attend a meeting that might not take place anyway.

The email has been pouring in this morning. My business writing students have email assignments do, in all three sections. And the latest virus has been hitting my business email account worse than any other virus. Fortunately, Norton finally has posted an update that eats the thing so that I'm not tenatively going into my attachments directory and deleting it by hand.

The latest from ZDNet is that this virus is some sort of attempt to attack SCO. I sympathize with the desire but resent being used this way. It slows everything down for me, and I'm content to let the courts handle the SCO problem. (When will the courts finally say, hey, this is nothing but a nuisance suit; go out and make money the honest way, by working for it!)
