This is a collection of excerpts from a number of Dillard's books. It's a fun read from the enigmatic Dillard. If you are not familiar with her work, it's like reading prose poetry composed by an author whose one eyebrow is always raised to tip you off to her tongue in cheek. Yet she remains sympathetic as well as passionate about life, especially nature.
