Antelope Woman by Louise Erdrich
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Masterful stylist. In an interview at the end of the book, Erdrich says, "Shakespeare's history plays and The Three Stooges were major influences." As soon as I read that, I thought uh-huh. I've never been much of a Stooges fan, but perhaps they, the Marx Brothers, and Chaplin's Little Tramp are the truest personae in our narratives.
